Lesley Pittman is president of Sierra Strategies, a governmental relations and strategic communications firm serving businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals throughout Nevada. Pittman has 15 years of experience in providing public policy, public relations and effective communications strategies throughout the western states.

Prior to launching Sierra Strategies in Jan. 2008, she served for eight years as vice president of corporate and government relations for Station Casinos, Inc., and was responsible for the development and implementation of the company's government, community and public relations activities at the federal, state and local levels.

After arriving in Nevada in 1994, Pittman served as government services communications manager and associate director of public relations for R&R Partners in Las Vegas. During her tenure at R&R, Pittman crafted communication strategies to help agency clients achieve their public policy goals and to secure voter approval of several ballot initiatives. Ms. Pittman's clients included the Nevada Resort Association, Kerr McGee Chemical Corp, the Southern Nevada Water Authority and the University of Phoenix.

She also served as the legislative liaison for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife following a three-year stint in Washington, D.C. as legislative assistant to Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Wash.

Pittman is a member of the St. Jude's Ranch for Children Boulder City Board of Directors, Three Square Board of Trustees, and is a member of the Safe Nest Advisory Board.

A graduate of the 2002 Leadership Las Vegas Class, Pittman was also was named one of Las Vegas' Top 40 Under 40 in 2002 and one of Southern Nevada's Most Influential Businesswomen in 2003. In 2006, Pittman was named one of the Great Women in Gaming by Casino Enterprise Management Magazine.

Ms. Pittman is married to John Pittman and has two children.
