Water Authority seeks research project participants

The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) is conducting a research project to test a new water-saving device that eliminates the hassle of changing your watering clock to comply with seasonal day-of-week and time-of-day mandatory watering restrictions. The Watering Group Assistant device automatically adjusts your irrigation clock to your assigned watering group throughout the year.

The SNWA is looking for residential and commercial properties to participate in this research project. Approximately 600 devices will be deployed, free of charge, to qualifying customers in Southern Nevada.

Benefits of participating in this research project could include:

  • Saving money on your watering bill,
  • Eliminating the possibility of violations for watering on the wrong day, and
  • Saving the community's valuable water resources.

To qualify, your landscape must contain at least 25 percent grass.

Complete the interest form to participate in the study and select the Watering Group Assistant device you prefer, or call (702) 862-3760 and select option 2.
