Twin-Flowered Agave
Agave geminiflora

The more sun this Agave gets the stiffer its leaves become, give it some shade and the leaves relax and become more flexible. After about ten years this plant will shoot up a 15 to 20 ft. stalk covered with green flowers accented with red and purple. As with almost all Agaves, this plant dies after it blooms. It's drought resistant, but looks better with some summer watering. Very good large container plant for patio areas.
