Queen Victoria Agave
Agave victoriae-reginae

Agave victoriae-reginae is one of the most highly prized of all Agaves. This small compact plant has dark green leaves that appear to be painted with thin white stripes, its edges are free of teeth but has a sharp terminal spine. A very slow-growing agave that benefits from afternoon shade and some supplemental water in the summer months. This agave may take up to 40 years to bloom and the flower stalk can reach a height of 10 to 15 ft. tall bearing striking red-purple flowers. Excellent container plant.
