Aloe Vera, Medicinal Aloe
Aloe barbadensis
As this Aloe matures it is capable of growing into large clumps that may need to be thinned out to keep it looking its best. Will tolerate full sun but does best with afternoon shade, needs supplemental water during summer months. The sap from this Aloe is often used for burns and abrasions, accepts poor soil but requires excellent drainage. Great hummingbird attractor.
