Chain-Fruit Cholla, Jumping Cholla
Cylindropuntia fulgida
Interesting plant that gets its name from its blooming cycle. The flowers are followed by dry fruit, then the fruit stays on the plant and produces more flowers, in turn producing a 'chain of fruit'. As with all Cholla cactus, use caution and good judgment where to place the plants. Spines are vicious and painful, keep away from children and pets.
