Teddy Bear Cholla
Cylindropuntia bigelovii
Very attractive when sunlight shines through the plants golden spines, can grow as a single or multiple trunk. Do not use near foot traffic! Often called 'Jumping Cholla', plant stems break off very easily. This cactus has vicious spines that barb when embedded in the skin. When spines are stuck in the skin, remove branch carefully with pliers. Do not touch, collect fallen cholla balls with a shovel and dispose of carefully.
