Mexican Fence Post
Pachycereus marginatus
Also known as Lemaireocereus marginatus, this tall stately cactus makes an excellent container plant both outdoors and indoors, provided it gets adequate light. Short spines are not aggressive and add interest to the plant. In its native Mexico, locals cut the plants into sections, place the cutting on the ground and wire the pieces together making a living fence. Protect the growing tips from frost.
