Penstemon parryi
Southwestern native. Long flower-baring stems with long gray-green to blue-green lance-shaped leaves growing up from a low rosette of leaves at the base. Lower stems often a purple-pink color. Bright pink tubular flowers with the lower 'lip' projecting forward slightly. Bees and hummingbirds love the flowers and the seeds are a food source for birds. May self-sow in the landscape. Cut stems off at the base after flowers spent or after seeds sown.
