Yellow Bells Sunrise
Tecoma stans v. stans 'Sunrise'
This shrub has the same characteristics as Tecoma stans 'Gold Star' except its flowers have a burnt orange throat accenting the inside of the flower. Slower growing that 'Gold Star', a showy plant for the landscape. Cut back watering and fertilization in the fall to minimize frost damage. Foliage may be damage in the mid-20 degrees F range and may die back in most cold winters but usually comes back in spring. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove damaged foliage.
