Upright, rounded, slightly weeping habit. Slender, yellow, weeping branches. Bright to medium green, narrow, 2 to 4 inch long, lance-shaped leaves with a pale center vein and serrated margins. Inconspicuous flowers, fruit, and autumn color. Foliage and branch drop causes some litter. The trunk on young trees may scorch in our hot sun if not protected. Plant were the truck will not be exposed to direct summer sun for long periods. Minimal pruning require to maintain shape. Primarily remove any dead branches that have not fallen off on their own and occasionally to thin if needed. Can have shallow, invasive roots. Susceptible to aphides, borers, cytospora canker, frothy flux, spider mites, tent caterpillars.
