Salvia dorrii dorrii
Southwestern native. Rounded to spreading habit. Gray-green to silver-gray, linear to oval, scooped, 1/4 to 1inch long leaves. Aromatic. Whorls of small lavender blue flowers with purple bracts and calyxes appear at intervals along the upper section of the stems. Attracts bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Trim off seed heads and prune lightly for form after flowering. Member of the mint family.
