Large shrub or can be trained into a multi-trunk tree. Narrow, dark green, leathery leaves with heavily serrated margins. Clusters of creamy white flowers mature to brittle dark brown seed heads. Best to prune in late fall or early winter. Remove spent seed heads and prune lightly for shape. A good nonpoisonous replacement plant for oleander.
