Rosmarinus officinalis prostratus
Low, spreading to mounding, dense habit. Small, needle-like, dark green to gray-green leaves. Aromatic. Small blue to light purple flowers. Attracts bees and butterflies. Minimal pruning if left natural. For pruned look, prune frequently, but lightly. Older plants can become overly woody-prune back to lower areas of leaf growth to encourage fill-in. Several prostrate varieties available. More cold sensitive than more upright varieties rosemary, but does alright here. Culinary herb.
