Desert Senna
Senna armata
Use Desert Senna for spring color in a native or xeric garden. (Flowers are yellow to salmon in color with a pleasant fragrance) The rest of the year, leafless stems will add vertical texture to the landscape with interesting pods following flowering in summer. (It has grooved prominent branches with inconspicuous leaves) Senna seedlings have been noted to be susceptible to rot and should be planted into a well-drained soil with conservative watering.
