Virgin River Brittlebush
Encelia virginensis

Virgin River Brittlebush shares the majority of its native range with and is quite similar in appearance to the related Brittlebush (E. farinosa). Has a smaller mature size and the flower stalks are unbranched, but it still has the lovely daisy-like flowers and silvery gray-green to blue-gray foliage. A small shrub that can be massed as an informal hedge for a boundary. It also can stand alone to fill a midground area. It brings vivid, early color to the landscape as it is among the first to bloom in the spring. In the landscape, it may remain evergreen. Hardy and easy to grow.
