Gold Star Yellow Bells, Gold Star Esperanza
Tecoma stans 'Gold Star'

This shrub is a cross between Tecoma stans var. stans and Tecoma stans var. angustata. Starts blooming earlier then its parents and blooms more heavily. Cut back watering and fertilization in the fall to minimize frost damage. Foliage may be damage in the mid-20 degrees F. and may even die to the ground in colder winters, but should recover quickly in spring. Prune in spring to remove damaged foliage.
