Advisory committees
When faced with difficult decisions impacting our community, the Southern Nevada Water Authority has consistently relied upon input from citizen committees.
Since 1991, these committees have explored and deliberated over issues ranging from water quality and environmental initiatives to the development of water resources for Southern Nevada's future.
Members are appointed by the Board of Directors, representing a cross-section of community residents, businesses, chamber of commerce, and educational, environmental and financial sectors.
Most recently, citizen advisory committees have helped guide future water resource planning for Southern Nevada by evaluating the Water Authority's infrastructure needs and funding.
